Dr. Christopher Frost is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon focused on treating patients with hand and wrist trauma, arthritis, vascular disorders and tendon injuries. He also cares for people experiencing disorders of the peripheral nervous system and those who have complex upper and lower extremity conditions, such as amputation. Dr. Frost helped establish the Johns Hopkins Center for Advanced Limb Loss, a multidisciplinary clinic treating patients with upper or lower limb loss. The center provides care to patients from an integrated group of experts from throughout Johns Hopkins including plastic surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists, as well as specialists in pain medicine, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is also interested in upper extremity transplantation as a treatment for some patients with upper limb loss. Dr. Frost completed his medical school training at the University of Michigan and plastic and reconstructive surgery residency training at the Johns Hopkins/University of Maryland. He completed additional fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School which focused on complex reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery and microsurgery.
